CLINICAL NURSE SPECIALIST - CARDIOLOGY/ICU
Position Description
The Nursing Department seeks an experienced Cardiology/ICU Clinical Nurse Specialist. You will be a experienced individual with demonstrated competency in clinical judgment that is educated to access, and is willing to share knowledge both within nursing and across discipline boundaries. You will carry a patient case load in your designated specialty (Cardiology/ICU) and ensure that the plan of care is developed and executed by the health care team. You will coordinate your particular specialty and facilitate collaboration among all members of the multidisciplinary team.
Minimum Requirements
Masters Degree in Nursing. You will have three to five years clinical nursing experience in Cardiology/ICU following completion of your Masters Degree.
Duties & Responsibilities
You will perform case management, discharge planning, and utilization review and must be knowledgeable in the management of change, Quality Improvement and Risk Management.
You will have a thorough understanding of research and evidence based practice and practice advances. You will manage specialty patient populations and facilitate collaboration among members of the multidisciplinary team.
You will integrate the most up to date technology into care process and you will synthesize information from multiple sources and levels of care, communicating knowledge from the bedside to the boardroom.
SUPERVISOR COMPLEX CARE - ANTE, INTRA & POST PARTUM
Position Description
The Nursing Department seeks an experienced Midwife Supervisor for the Mother & Baby, Labor & Delivery and Post-Partum unit.
Minimum Requirements
Ten years clinical Midwifery experience in Mother & Baby, Labor & Delivery and Post –Partum unit, with three years of supervisory experience in clinical specialty as Supervisor or Nurse Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
You will be competent in preparing reports and will be accountable for equipment and other assets. You will require a thorough and current knowledge of Strategic Planning & Development.
You will have experience in managing fiscal resources and resource allocation, and be knowledgeable in the management of change processes, Quality Improvement and Risk Management, and have a demonstrated competency in clinical management and leadership skills.
You will have current experience in budgeting, finance, and calculating for staffing needs.
You will have a thorough understanding of Research and Evidence Based Practice.
In general all work is performed during normal working hours; however you will maintain twenty four hour accountability for the Operating Rooms and are expected to respond to any unusual situations.
You will have a thorough knowledge of Midwifery in the Ante partum, Intra- partum and Post-partum phase. You will have professional experience with demonstrated competency in clinical management and leadership skills.
